Hael's Curse

Oh no! The Captain is cursed!

Here's what we know:

Hael has been cursed for a couple of weeks. He has been mostly unresponsive, occasionally speaking in grunts or growls, and has engaged continually in very repetitive movements.

Zorion believes the map showing the Island of Sonus is what cursed him, but that as the curse has already been triggered, it is likely harmless now.

Hael has been tracing the map with his finger in a straight line between Sonus and the middle of the ocean. Most recently, he made an attempt to steer the boat toward Sonus, and had to be restrained forcibly.

Most recently, the occupants of the Shadar-Kai Boat kidnapped Hael, along with Zorion Wall, who was doing his best to keep the captain safe in his quarters. Immediately after, the entire boat vanished.

Who cursed Hael, and why? And can the spell be broken? Even if we can discover all of this, would we ever find him and Zorion?
