Cinnamon Creek
A village found a few miles inland of Caelester
Known for its clay pits and kilns, produces bricks and cheap pottery locally, also supplying some of the clay used by wealthier potters in the city
Layers of sediment allow the production of both richly, red coloured clay and a grey that, when fired, comes out a beige that is almost white
Town named for the colour of the creek as it flows out of the mine - waters once crystal clear stained to a rich cinnamon brown by the sediment lost in the mining process.
One of those towns with few people not associated with the main industry - a handful of folks grow herbs and vegetables, keep a few chickens or pigs, etc, but most of the town's food is brought in by traders
Workers have been pressed hard of late to help with the rebuilding efforts
Possible quests:
Workers have put up with harsh treatment for long enough, and are striking. Attempts to break the strike have met with disaster as the workers somehow have a clay golem supporting them. Adventurers are required to destroy the golem so the strike can be broken and production resumed.
A worker at the pits (possibly a potter) has taken the Pact of the Emperor to reanimate those they lost in the earthquake, secretly crafting clay golems in their images. People of the town have been disturbed to see these clay facsimiles wandering the town, crudely copying the routines of friends and family. Adventurers requested to investigate the cause of the phenomenon and put a stop to it before something terrible happens.
