Artisan of Caelester
In the aftermath of the Caelester Earthquake, reconstruction efforts have largely been led by the Builders, based in the Abbey. By and large, most of the community have contributed to reconstruction efforts in one way or another, but the generosity of some citizens from a wide variety of walks of life has been exceptional. In recognition of their inspirational efforts, the Builders decided to grant these individuals the title "Artisan of Caelester," announcing new Artisans at every major festival.
Most Caelestrans have great respect for those who earn the title of Artisan. As the title goes to those who have had a substantial impact on the reconstruction effort, most people will be inclined to trust them, giving their suggestions and arguments more weight than they would otherwise. Some shopkeepers will offer them a discount, or prioritize requests they make, assuming that they will use whatever they're buying to benefit the city as a whole.
Icon
When the Builders name someone Artisan of Caelester, they give them an icon that displays their status, as well as indicating why they were awarded this honour. Each icon is a gold pin intended to be worn at the collar, made up of a hammer angled up and to the left, crossed with a tool symbolizing their field of work. They are also infused with a minor blessing, which both aids the artisan in their work and makes forgeries significantly more difficult - anyone touching it will feel a faint humming sensation marking it as a magic item. Examples include:- A saw, representing work in construction. The blessing confers a minor improvement in dexterity, improving their ability to construct things efficiently.
- A ladle, representing work in food distribution. The blessing confers an improved sense of timing, improving their ability to keep track of cooking times.
- A sword, representing warriors who solve problems demanding combat. The blessing confers a minor defensive charm, warding them from one attack that would otherwise hit per day.
- A quill, representing traders and merchants. The blessing confers allows them to verify one piece of information a day, allowing them to know instantly if that information is true or false.
