The Auspicious Auction

Financial Event

The party gathers at the site of the felled dragon for one reason or another. At first, Biedra Hiel, the Heart of Verikhas, was gifting holy remains of the dragon to any who arrived. However, the head of the Treasury and National Merchants' Guild, Vilia Nistra, eventually arrived and set up an impromptu auction for any part of the dragon that had not already been given away.

During the auction, a Sand Xorn appeared and attacked Biedra. Through swift action from the brave members of the party, the Sand Xorn was quickly handled, albeit only after the head of Verimasi religion spent a few moments within its gullet. Soon after, a 9-foot-tall, two-headed monstrosity emerged from the sinkhole in the sand that the Sand Xorn had created upon its surfacing.

At first seeming hostile, Karn realized that the creature was speaking Giant, a tongue currently unknown to the Vermasi people. Through some persuasion from the party and a flashy performance from Laldryn, the party helped the double-minded creature depart from the vicinity before the public (and well-equipped enforcers) could turn aggressive against the sentient beast.
