Cult of the Lexians

The Cult of the Lexians, officially Lexia Fides (Ramian for "the Lexian Faith"), is an ancient religious organization founded in 613 IA by the deposed Southsea Emperor Pius Cantius Triferus. The Cult's central beliefs derive from the idea that the only true and just god is the one they call Lexus, and all other proclaimed gods are deceptions by evil spirits bent on destroying human civilization. This denial of legitimacy extends to any magic and spellcasting from outside the clergy, referred to as maleficia, or "witchcraft", which is framed as "entreating" and "empowering" the evil spirits. In contrast, clerical spellcasting and alchemy are believed to be gifts from Lexus, rewarded for the practitioner's devotion in serving, upholding, or spreading his Ordo Divinus, or "Divine Order."
