Dhampir
Dhampirs are an oddity that very few understand. While the masses may view them as humans partially cursed with Vampirism, those who have studied them know that their souls remain intact. Dhampirs benefit from the otherworldly beauty and grace of the Vampiric heritage. Among the Ruthenia Dhampirs are generally well received, treated little different the other Humans. The Dhampirs themselves live in a world between worlds, not being truly accepted by their Vampire Fathers and seen as quasi noble by their mortal neighbors. Outside the Ruthenia Dhampirs are treated with fear and apprehension, causing most to try and disguise their undead heritage.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
Dhampir's seem to be the biological offspring of a Male Vampire with a Human Female or a female of the mortal ancestry. While Female Vampires may never reproduce, male vampires in rare cases may still have offspring. It is also hypothesised that an already pregnant woman who is bitten may have their child turned to a Dhampir but this has been difficult to prove. Dhampirs themselves do not seem to produce other Dhampirs and the only sign of their nature appearing in bloodlines of descendants. Dhampirs are living creaturesbut do have several traits similar to that of the undead.
