Vasphan Imperial Court
Vasphan court is a decently-sized crowd, estimated to be about 20% of the total population of Al-Tamesma. The ranks are carefully managed and keenly observed. The nobility is divided into 3 specific ranks:
Imperial: Currently ruling emperor/empress, their immediate family (parents, siblings, children). They dictate the life and norms within the capital, and create decrees to be followed elsewhere as well, although this is less common. Maintenance of everyday duties are delegated to lesser nobility.
Greater nobility: The high society aristocrats officially invited to partake in court. Mostly consists of wealthy merchants and other famous people living in the capital.
Lesser nobility: Royal servants with privileges. Associate with nobility, but are clearly of less rank and importance. Consists of many scribes, composers, researchers, lawmakers, and advisors of the greater nobility. Concubines of the Imperials also belong in this rank but they’re not always treated as such.
