Epios 101

Some things to keep in mind

• Epios is a homebrew world borrowing a lot from the canon D&D 5th edition lore. Where not specifically mentioned, details such as long the different races live can be looked up in the player's handbook.
• When you first start playing, you do not need to read through the whole wiki to get an idea of how the world is. You can start with an idea for a character (check out Playable races article, Party connections article as well as the Additional classes, domains and patrons article), then decide where they come from, and start reading up on things from there.
• Before you lock in your character choice, there will be a session 0 where we will discuss the current party composition and discuss which alignments would work well with the existing group. 

Creating a new character

• For character creation you have the following options; roll for stats in Roll20 (see stickied messages on Discord) or choose the standard array. (If rolling gives you a sub-standard array, you may opt to go for the standard array.)
• In Epios we max the HP at every level. Yay!
• All normal Player’s Handbook material are by default good to use. When wanting to use subclasses/specializations from Unearthed Arcana or such additional material, please run them by the DM before creating your character.
• Most of all, create a fun character! RP is a big element in the campaign and making what some might consider sub-optimal choices in order to add some flavor and RP potential is encouraged.
