Personal history
It is unkown in the mythos how Mab was created and it has been lost to time. What is known about her is that she is the goddess of magic and elves, having a place in the Fey Court. She has shown up to numerous adventurers
She showed up in the first timeline to Jia and company when they arrived in Feywild even contracting with Jia and giving her mab's own grimoir. Mab then acted as a guide for Jia and a force of much confusion. She caused Jia to black out at points in time but, gave her the benefit of unlimited magic potential.
Jia ended up braking her contract with mab later.
Mab met Nat under similar circumstances and also made a contract with her. Nat however was freed from her contract by, Dalon's lingering will
