Arctonon, the Lawbringer
Master of the Red Court and the Grand Adjudicator Arctonon (a.k.a. The Lawbringer, The Lawmaker, The Prime, The Gavel-High.)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He is a tall, spindly creature who moves with supernatural speed and acts with horrible strength when needed.
Body Features
Arctonon's only notable bodily features are his strange face and his tall stature. No creature has ever seen any other part of his body that wasn't covered in clothes.
Facial Features
Arctonon's face is what would at first appear to be a glossy red mask, showing the visage of a gaunt and stern-faced man, however this is usually dispelled upon seeing the mask move when he speaks. His cheeks are sharp and his chin is long, his eyes seem depressed but never sad, stuck perpetually as the gaze of an uncaring and unperturbed man. His eyebrows can theoretically move, and legends say they have moved once, once during court when a defendant used such a bizarre argument it visually confused the Lawbringer. His lips are curved into a constant frown which not even legends believe have curled into anything other than a detestable frown.
Identifying Characteristics
Other than his plastic-like face, his towering height, and his eccentric robe and cloak that drapes many feet behind him, he has no other identifying features.
Physical quirks
Arctunon is unearthly still, never swaying or shaking, it appears that every move he makes is deliberate. His back is as straight as a headstone in a military graveyard, but he does tend to lean down to face people he personally detests.
Apparel & Accessories
He wears a long and flowing black robe, accentuated with white and gold embossing and accents. His cloak shares a similar color profile, and both stretch far, far behind him, even reaching into other rooms but never seeming to dirty or tangle. He carries with him at all times an ebony and gold scepter with a head akin to a winged mace.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Arctonon's very existence seems to be based around upholding the law and the Moral Creed, and demands that every creature under the Tasyrian banner act with morality, empathy, and with the law in mind at all times. His punishments are swift, and should you violate the law in his very presence- fatal, and always border on the excessive.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
While Arctonon is expected to uphold laws of morality and empathy, he is exceptionally inhuman, being cutthroat in his logic and seemingly not truly understanding empathy. He understands the current laws of morality as dictated by the Creed and is able to fairly judge whether or not the Moral Creed has been broken, but when assessing cases that fall outside of the creed AND established legal precedent, he must be advised by his retinue, retainers, and fellow Adjudicators on how to proceed.
Likes & Dislikes
His likes and dislikes are fairly simple, and you could most likely guess them.
Virtues & Personality perks
He is unwavering, incorruptible, unearthly intelligent, and above all else, fair and impartial in his judgements, even if the same could not be said for his punishments. The few times physical prowess must be demonstrated, he is an opponent without equal, demonstrating agility, strength, and reactivity unseen by most mortals and machines.
Vices & Personality flaws
Fortunately the Gavel-High cannot be bribed in any way, whether with capital or promises of luxury and power. Unfortunately, he is at times inhuman and has a poor understanding of sociability.
Wealth & Financial state
While the resources of the Adjudicative Order are vast, it is unknown if Arctonon uses any of them for himself. He does directly own the Red Court, but no mortal creature has ever seen his actual demesne within the palace-office.
Alignment
Lawful Neutral
Honorary & Occupational Titles
Arctonon is the lord and master of the Adjudicative Order, although he deigns control of the organization over to his retinue and Adjudicator underlings. The Red Court itself is his domain. While it is debatable he is a man, he is none the less the most powerful man in Tasyr, even if he chooses to not use that power.
