This organization, shrouded in mystery, your ordinary citizen will most likely never meet them, and he will be never directly influenced by them. The only ones that see them are the crews that are preparing to venture into the great unknown that is the space behind "The Border", the heads of nations, and those unfortunate souls that are attacked by them once returning.
They are the creators and enforcers of the [Directive Ω], they follow its contents to the letter and purge and cleanse anything and everything that it dictates them too.
Governments, while normally not being very keen on keeping large, uncontrolled masses of battle-ready ships usually ignore the men and woman that server the Omega, for they can only theorize what would happen if they didn't keep them around.

The main goal appears to be to contain any "anomalies" returning from "The Border" to the human space, and protect humanity from their influence, what ever that influence might be.
Assets
The organization has quite the sizable assortment of space ships, as well as some units of boarding experts. Considering the fact that they usually destroy single vessels, that are usually paralyzed, their force could be considered an overkill.
History
Founded just a year after the discovery of the phenomenon known simply as "The Border". The organization started as a simple activist group, trying to make the world aware of the supposed dangers that waited on the other side, it quickly grew into the international organization operating outside of the law with the endorsement of nearly all mayor players.
