Warden Zeith
Zeith is a so called "Warden": an elite soldier and agent of the Althenan Owlin Council. Zeith commands a team of wardens to defend Althena against threats, internal or external. Times are interesting for Zeith, as he had to content with an internal threat in the form of the Darklight Guardians, a external threat in the form of an overseas mercenary invasion, while also having to deal with a unexpected visitors in the form of the party.
They found common ground, however, and Zeith helped the party deal with Zoran Tross' Warship. Seeing it through, he escorted the party to present the discovered information that a betray was on the horizon for the Bravian invaders, so they'd best pack their bags. Similarly, the Darklight Council was subdeud by the effort of Hootalin, who Zeith has come to respect.

Zeith's Involement In the Independance Movement
The party came across Zeith again in Neematona, during their plot to kill Medacnan. Disguised as arms dealers showing the Ariacs and Bravian mercenaries their latests tech, the interested buyers insisted they try their toys out on three captives.
Pulling off the hood from one of them, Zeith was revealed, who'd been captured by the Security Bureau. Zeith had been in Neematona as part of Althena's delegation to the peace converence there. The Security Bureau agent told the party Zeith was trying to stirr trouble for Grak Urval, Althena's overlords. As a gift to them, the Security Bureau would graciously deal with Zeith.
When the trap was sprung, and the smoke cleared, the party had managed to keep Zeith alive and saved him. Zeith told the party that he was working with Hootalin to leverage the knowledge of a coming succession crisis in Grak Urval into gaining full independence. It turned out Medacnan's Security Bureau seemed to have an interest in keeping the coming conflict quiet, and he was captured by them after speaking to the wrong person.
Thus it seemed that Zeith had changed positions on the issue. On Althena, he fought against the machinations of the Darklight Guardians who sought the same goal of independance, but now he was on board with it. Perhaps his seeming infatuation with Hootalin has something to do with that...
