Quarah Ua
Quarah Ua is an Owlin of Clan Ua. He possesses of the unshakeable certainty that he is on the right side of history. Unfortunately, “right” in this case means serving the Darklight Guardians under Master Keyi Aw in their mission to consolidate control over Althena.
Born into the politically influential Ua family, Quarah enjoyed a privileged upbringing alongside his sister Hootalin Ua. Where she excelled in chemistry and government service, Quarah found his calling in the Guardians’ militant, religious hierarchy. His loyalty to the order wasn’t just professional—he genuinely believed their stewardship of Althena’s natural and spiritual order was essential for the island’s survival.
That belief survived even after Hootalin defected, stole the Master’s wish-ring, and poisoned him into permanent illness. Quarah, however, became a victim of the immediate aftermath: imprisoned by his order, and lingering in a dungeon for the past two years.
Quarah and Hootalin crossed paths again when Hootalin, guided by Etuna, returned to finish the job on Keyi Aw. When his sister freed him, and Etuna's mark on her was clear, he reconciled with Hootalin, and would assist her in controlling the Darklight Guardians.
