Makeda Samrawit

Radiant, confident and regal, Makeda is an Oromoo princess from central Alkelbulan, training in the Accian Military Training Program alongside other members of Unit C210. Capable of both Mobile Support and Cavalry, Makeda is both potent and shrewd. She knows who she is, glowing in any social gathering or battle--sometimes literally! Tolerating no disrespect, Makeda won't let anyone or anything change her. This naturally earns her the awe and respect of her peers as she is charismatic with a demanding presence. The sight of Makeda casually and comfortably striding alongside Etenesh is equally intimidating and Etenesh doesn't hesitate those who cross Makeda!

When Makeda fights, almost always alongside Etenesh, they are the picture of speed and agility. Blessed by Fliris, Etenesh is exceptionally fast and cannot be impeded by physical barriers, slipping right through! And the faster she goes, the more velocity she accumulates. However, it also becomes more difficult to to stop! Etenesh's abilities pair well with Makeda's, Makeda able to radiate bright flashes, produce camoflauge or even make the pair invisible. But most importantly, once this pair reaches a high enough speed, they can pop in and out of Fliris' Plane, phasing in and out of the physical world! They need to maintain this speed to remain in the elemental plane but this is an excellent way for Makeda and Etenesh to evade danger in any battle. And while neither are particularly hard hitting, cheetahs not quite as powerful as other big cats, Etenesh is still armed with a strong bite and sharp claws to match Makeda's sharp mind and ruthless spear!

Makeda isn't particularly large or powerful, often leaving any intimidation to Etenesh. She is lithe and slender to match her feline sister, making Etenesh's role as her mount all the easier. Makeda glows and radiates not just because of her kaithur but because she knows her own beauty. She lights up a space wherever she goes with a generous and graceful smile. In her magic form, Makeda manifests prismatic markings all across her body alongside robin blue spots, especially around her hands, eyes and feet.

Makeda was born into the ruling family of Gaarreen Ho'aa while her grandmother was once a princess from Nyasi za Rangi. When the Kingdom of Accia was spreading their influence over Alkelbulan, they made a habit of taking advantage of rivalries between tribes or kingdoms. Makeda's people allied themselves with Accia to this end, assured the defeat of their longheld enemies in Nyasi za Rangi. After nearly a century of warfare, the two largest groups ended this conflict through a marriage between Makeda's grandmother and grandfather. Makeda was raised with the traditions of her Abantu ancestors from Nyasi while living in the capital of Ho'aa. Makeda has been sent into the kingdom to secure a strong alliance and more autonomy for her people. She hopes to earn a position within the duchy or even marry Prince Aldric Syltharis himself.

Despite Makeda and Wu Zetian competing with each over Prince Aldric, they still tend to get along and respect each other beneath it all. Makeda actually isn't nearly as fervent about winning Aldric over as Zetian. She plans to marry into nobility in general, aiming for Aldric simply because he is the best option. But Makeda is far smoother and less deceiving than Zetian is with Aldric. She is straightforward, charming and respectful but does not mask her intentions. In case she cannot win Aldric over, she still scopes out other options as well as there has been little progress so far.

Etenesh and Makeda were raised together side-by-side like sisters. First Makeda was reared alongside Etenesh by her own mother before continuing to live alongside Makeda as an Oromoo princess. As such, Etenesh and Makeda are very affectionate with each other and Etenesh in fact spends her nights in Makeda's quarters. For this reason, Makeda is one of few recruits who have been set up with her own private room to avoid risking Etenesh's aggression towards any roommate. After all, Etenesh can get territorial in these situations. Etenesh will even walk alongside Makeda when there is enough space, only leaving her side when there is no choice. However, Makeda fully respects Etenesh's autonomy and freedom, letting her come and go freely as she pleases. She will also take Etenesh out hunting at any opportunity, both relying on each other to be successful!
