Lorvina Festival
The crowning of the Lorvina Cuinn. Not a title with any power, but one of tradition.
The event takes place once a year, on the anniversary of the changeover, in the main square of the Shampilz capital. It is an event of fun, sun and joy.
Come listen to the band in the square, wander the many alleys of the Shampilz capital, peruse the many market stalls filled with the finest handmade Shampi gifts.
If you want something more scheduled, there are a range of acts being shown in the theatre. After you've seen all the sights you wish, head to The Hill at [time] to see the animal show, then follow the colourful flower procession as it leads you to the main event, the crowning of the Lorvina Cuinn.

History
Before Shampilz became that which it is today, it was once known as Lorvina. This changed to Shampilz 700 years or so ago after events which can be read further upon in the Shampilz article. When it was Lorvina, they had a Cuinn in charge, much like modern day Glastrum's Queen, before becoming the Reignin and Roig now . After the changeover, one small town still wanted to pay homage to that role, and so the Lorvina Cuinn was introduced.
It started out as just a title given to one of the girls in the town, a small ceremony in front of the people, where a crown woven from red and white Lorvin and Cora flowers is placed upon her head, symbolising the crown worn by the past Cuinns.
Eventually, more people heard word, the village gaining a sudden influx of people as more wanted to witness this event. The town, realising the good this could do for them, began setting up stalls, encouraging people to buy drinks and food. This worked but complaints were sometimes heard over the lack of entertainment to consume their new purchases with.
The empire was, and still is sometimes, known as the flower empire, due to its immense flower fields, so some of the members of the other villages set about creating many arrangements to go on display at the festival, this was the origin of the flower procession.
The nearby theatre started opening earlier, allowing slots to be booked by anyone to show off any talents. Local bands were invited in to fill the city square with constant music and people were encouraged to bring along any pets they have, to show off their tricks at the animal show.
This lead to the Festival we know today, the joyful, bright, exciting event that's changing every year, with new acts brought to life.
