One of the oldest proffesional soldier bands in Belkar, bound to House Evergreen and the town of Oakreach these eagle eyed archers were founded officially in 801 CA. At the time of founding, there was 150 members of fighting order. Renowed in the history for being able to hit the wing of a blackbird at 250 paces. At the height of its power in 1010 the Silverstring Bowman numbered nearly 1000.

Almost ever major conflict over the past 400 years has had deployements of the silver string bowman. Their reputuation for being extremly talented archers has been well founded. Though recently when they show up other professional soldiers look at them as a relic of the past. Outdated equipment, outdated ideas and outdated tactics.

Now in 1172 only 35 bowman remain, and those that do are poorly equiped. Armed with the same large evergreen yew warbow and a short sword, these soldiers are better than militia, but likily not up to fighting standards of other houses.
