Justinian Aquilar
Backstory
Justinian Aquilar, fourth of six children, was born within the marbled halls of the Sultan Sultan Theodosuis II . His father, brother to the Sultan, ensured his children were schooled in both diplomacy and the art of war. Yet it was the clang of steel, not the sound of courtly debate, that drew young Justinian’s heart. Gifted with sharp reflexes and unflinching resolve, he rose swiftly through the ranks to the Lion’s Guard Cataphracts, earning respect for both his discipline and valor. At thirty-one, the Sultan appointed him Ambassador of the Realm, entrusting him with a personal retinue of guards to enforce imperial decrees across the provinces. Despite his charm and insight, Justinian’s moral code is unwavering, removing context or equality from his decision making. This also leads those around him to feel judged- often clashing with foreign lords who mistake his confidence for insolence. Loyal, intelligent, and unwavering in purpose, he serves as both blade and voice of the Sultan’s authority beyond the capital’s shining walls.
