Session 1 Report

The session began with the The Golden Sparrow being boarded by Captain Bartholomeow Courageous of the Captain Courageous and its crew taken prisoner. The dastardly Bartholomeow was planning to force them to work for him on his pirate ship, then apprehend and enslave them for participating in piracy. The brave Andy Edward Mason and Daeran stood up to the fiendish captain, with Brilliance of Embers hiding nearby, waiting for an opportune moment to strike. Just as tensions were running high aboard the Captain Courageous, the White Hawk appears in the distance, with a shouting Alloy standing atop its bowsprit. He is inaudible, doing frightening hand motions until he is put under the effect of Thaumaturgy by one of his crew. Alloy introduced himself, explaining the hand signals to the mixed relief and dismay of the crew of the Captain Courageous. In that instant, the senior mercenary of The Golden Sparrow, Toga, awoke and used the momentary distraction to seize his sword and begin a ship deck brawl. The others broke free of their restraints with the subtle help of Brilliance and began fighting against their captors. In the commotion, Captain Bartholomeow snuck aboard and commandeered the White Hawk, leaving his ship and crew behind for dead. Everyone aboard the Captain Courageous scrambled to recover, with most of its occupants piling aboard the Golden Sparrow to follow and get back the White Hawk in Veltia.
