Proxian Emperium
The Proxian Emperium is the force that governs the lands of Proxia Trestillia. The Emperium is focused on the Great Crusade, a divine conquest giving them the right to seize lands and bring all cultures and races under the fold of the Empire. The Emperium's seat of power lies in the continent of Aethyos, a small island off the coast of the Cape of Trestle, separated by the Magius channel.
The Emperium is large and has vast differences in government for it's eastern and western cities.
Structure
The Holy Council:
The immortal first Proxian Heroes. They were made into Crusaders to battle Hell in the Sundering. They direct the rule of Proxia in important events.High Oberonic Designate: Maxim Emperor
This is the overseer of all domains of Proxian life. Can alter anything they need. Holder of all wealth and titles. Able to take away and give to whatever they please. They are granted audience with the Crusaders atop Mount Oberon. The Holy Council will speak only with the Emperor, tell them what they want and then the Emperor must follow.Oberonic Designate: Illustrious Apex Commander
The Apex commander is the leader of the twelve legions of the Emperium. They have direct access to the Emperor, their own council and their own city in Aethyos.Western Proxian Organization
Oberonic Designate: Illustrious Emperor of the West
This Emperor governs over the eastern provinces of the Proxian Emperium. The station gains it’s own council and government structure that they have to look over. They are also in charge of managing the military and it’s logistical and tactical force in regions locally and abroad. The Emperor of the West may direct their military to march anywhere they like without consulting the Emperor of the East.Oberonic Designate: Oberonic Consul (2)
Two leaders are elected from the Proxian Council of 300 to oversee and make the final decision on all matters.Apex Legion Legate (4)
A high commander of three legions. These are the only ones permitted to talk with the Illustrious Apex Commander.Legion Legate (12)
Commanders of a legion of Proxian military. Legions were like small states operating within the empire. Legions are comprised of 1 million bodies, operating on the front and back lines. They were referred to by different names and had mottos of their own: 1st Legion, Dawn’s Ire: Ever Rising 10th Legion, Empyrean Justice: Unyielding, Unbreaking, Undefeated (Commander Grey was part of this legion) Apex Commander A council of Apex commanders informs the Legion Legate of the legion’s status in all domains. There are generally 10 Apex Commanders to a legion, ruling over specific cohorts. Apex commanders kept their legion ready for battle and functioning within the network of rule.Commander
Commanders made up the front-line staff of the legions, there are 5 commanders to every Apex Commander. Commanders are expected to handle the logistics of their pocket and sometimes rule, expanding the legion and their own cohort of command. They function like city rulers without a city, rather a band of people localized where the empire needs them to be, able to pack up and move at the Commander’s behest at any moment. The Commander is expected to build a good rapport with her comrades as the title is hereditary, and the legion’s favour will stay with their ancestors to come.Commander’s Council
The Commander’s council consists of multiple councillors governing what the commander has appointed them for. Usually a council of 14 surrounds the commander, informing them of either parts of their territory or certain agendas such as trade or military. The governing structure here is lax and up to the Commander’s personal preference on how they want to deal with their amount of people. The commander has the power to create multiple roles for their people below the commander rank.Local Guilds/Guildmasters
Local guilds handle insurance, trade agreements and manufacturing in the commander’s area. Guilds are sanctioned under the commander’s watch and will pay taxes to the Proxian empire for their operation. The bigger the guild, the bigger the tax. As such business ventures in Proxia Trestillia are very small and usually performed through Empire run companies.Guildsmen
Members belonging to a guild usually have higher sway in certain matters than other peasantry. They will be insured against certain circumstances and will be allowed access to rights that guilds can deny to initiated persons.Proxian Citizens
Proxian citizens are Proxians by blood, meaning they were a part of a family that came from the Proxian tribe of Mount Oberon. A Proxian citizen was allowed the right to vote and have a say in the public forum. They were also taken care of by the Proxian council via having access to ration rights and immigration throughout the Empire.Wolen
Wolen are a class of citizen that have had their tribe or nation assimilated by the Proxians and now work as free people under the Empire. They are not allowed a right to vote in the Proxian elections, have no access to free immigration and will be looked after second to true blood Proxians.Slaves
Slaves work under wealthy Proxians, Proxian generals or are sometimes owned by Proxian guilds. They are made up of poorly literate, stone age tribes that Proxians have conquered but have been unable to assimilate due to drastic barriers. They make up near 40% of the Eastern Empire’s workforce and even more of the Western. They are regarded as property and are treated according to their masters. Slaves have no rights.
