Goblin

Goblin are crafty tricksters and tinkerers living in tunnels and caves found all over Elysia. Some goblin species have adapted to living above ground in certain climates, but the average goblin likes to stick to it's colony within a mine or tunnel, constructing various mechanical traps and automatons to fight their enemies and mine materials to create more inventions.   All Goblinkind originate from a vast network of tunnels close to Elysia's core called the Undermine. The Undermine is home to many hostile and long forgotten creatures. Goblins speak of a haven near the center of Undermine that is their capital city: Goldamar   A common Goblin motto states: 'A fair service for a fair price.' They take this to the extreme. Charging newcomers to towns for temporary alliances, visitation fees, and insurance policies. Should a newcomer cause disturbance at these laws or fail to pay up, one of the many mobs of debtors in town would be glad to teach them a lesson. In addition to this, Goblins will communicate a blacklist between their Undermine trade networks, which is updated regularly. One should be prepared to pay a fair amount of Scrap upfront should they wish to enter a Goblin settlement without great bloodshed or alienation of a large portion of the Undermarket.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goblins have flimsy bodies and slightly oversized heads. Goblins are humanoid in appearance, their average height is around 5ft. Their skin colour depends largely on their family line. Darker and greyer goblins come from family lines deep within Undermine. Families that are near to the surface take on a darker shade of green and sometimes have mottled skin. Goblins have spindly but muscled appendages and large hands with long, sharp fingers used for manipulating machinery. Proportionally, they have the largest ears of any humanoid, which stick out above the tops of their heads arriving at points. Goblin eyes can take on a blue, white, yellow or black appearance. They are always squinting due to their poor eyesight.Their noses are long and used as a marker of intelligence and status within goblindom.
