Corellon seeing what their siblings have done, bringing forth the dragons, decides to bring Elves forward onto Eltharas. It is said Corellon's intent is that smaller peoples, made to cluster into communities can engage with the world given to them in a more intimate way. And use community as a sort of strength, combining their abilities and learning to become more.
Corellon also grants them the ability to understand the weave of magic with which the world is imbued. Encouraging them to learn how to craft magic in ways the Dragons have been able to do instinctively.
Sometime during this period Orcs begin to appear. Gruumsh, in anger takes Elves and breaks them, making of their parts a stronger, more aggressive race. Teaching them to conquer and destroy, and to take from Eltharas what they desire. He also gives them shorter lifespans to increase their aggressiveness. Corellon considers this at best an insult, and a mockery. Fortunately nearly as much aggression is directed toward other Orcs as toward Elves, making them dangerous but somewhat self defeating enemies. The destruction and mayhem are pleasing to Gruumsh regardless.
It is thought Yeenoghu and Maglubiyet are likely children of Gruumsh who later find their own ways to emulate this corrupted creation.
