Verdant Isle
An island on Bellaku, south of Belhaim within Dunkelgrun. Technically governed as part of Belhaim, but abandoned for some time.
Sometimes known as Hermit Isle.
The island was investigated by Arkomir Phinan and Dharra Boulderfoot as part of a missing persons quest. Something, potentially a false god, is lurking below the island and needs to be dealt with before being resettled - Arkomir and Dharra warn others away from the island.
Arkomir and Dharra also discovered more evidence of The Cleansing Wave members on the island. Brak Stonefist is buried here within a dwarven settlement (now abandoned). There is a Lava forge within the abandoned settlement.
The island was gifted to Arkomir and Dharra by Esward Moulton after their investigation.
Geography
Verdant isle is a hilly, heavily forested isle with volcanically formed caves beneath. An underground spring feeds a series of pools under the Dwarven tunnels of the Steelfist Settlement beneath the centre of the isle. There is also a small spring that feeds a tiny pool at the top of the isle's central hill, near Glade's Tower.
On the south of the island a small inlet flows into the start of some caves that connect to the Steelfist Mine. There are some more extensive caves just above water level on the eastern shore of the island that were formerly occupied by a tribe of Kobolds.
