White Council
The White Council is the administrative body of the city of Amor Daín and it acts under the authority of the Lord Regent of Aldur.
Structure
The Council is led by the Lord Regent and it comprises of the mos affluent nobles, statesmen and military officials of Amor Daín. The various members of the Council are given limited administrative power to help in the overall administration of the capital. The Lord Regent is responsible for the Council and it's actions.
Public Agenda
The White Council's agenda is to better and streamline the administration of the city. They also play the major part in the development of industry and infrastructure within the capital's are.
Assets
Has full control over the tax revenue of the city, emergency assets and funds are also at the Council's disposal as well as the city police force, the Street Watch. At any given time has approximately 70,000 gp in reserves.
History
The Council was formed by King Aerion I upon his ascension to the throne, as he was then only 14 year of age and was persuaded by his tutors and nobles to let them handle the administration, until he was of age. The Council has served every King of Aldur since its creation, while the authority it possessed fluctuated from depending on the ruler.
