Manikin
Twisted wooden puppets given life though rituals and bloody sacrifice, manikins are constructed soldiers to serve as a bastion against enemies of the Fae resembling a now extinct member of the Fae through gnarled wood and branches cover in sigils and seals. They were once utilized to allow the dead to once again serve the Fae, to lend their soul to the mortal coil for a limited time before allowing the spirit to return to the Great Tree. As time progresses, the spirit will rot and warp into a feral reflection of the once serene warrior after so long being bound to the mortal coil.
