Gulon Extract
Gulon extract is an aphrodisiac produced by gulons during their feeding ritual from glands within the throat of the creature. It is often harvested for it's aphrodisiac effect and is often distilled into an extract-like solution to be later used other products. It originates from the ring of gluttony.
History
Gulon extract was first harvested from the blood of hunted gulons by drying it into a powder and then dissolving the powdered blood in a weak alcohol. This primitive technique created a much less potent dose only being around 17% pure extract. It was often taken in ceremonies and rituals by early demons usually in relation to togetherness or courtship. It is also believed to be sought after by succubi in order to better sway mortals to indulge their lustful desire.
Over the centuries, the process of distilling the substance became common practice increasing the purity of the extract tremendously. This made it more accessible and easy to produce increasing it's proliferation within the seven circles, especially lust.
Regulations
For gulon extract to be deemed legally pure, it must consist of at least 60% pure extract and 13% alcohol as per regulations set by the Aliment and Indulgences Commission (AIC). All producers must be registered with the Gulon Farmers Union and possess a licence issued by the AIC. Two annual inspections must be passed with a grade of 85 or higher.
Each bottle of gulon extract must be tested and then sealed with a proof of authenticity seal from the AIC.
