Church of the Mourning Star
The infernal church, an affront to the God of Man, the Church of the Morning Star is a religion dedicated to the worship of Lucifer Morningstar whom lends his name to it's title. It serves as the primary and only officially recognized religion of Hell and the only officially recognized demonic religion by the interdimensional commission.
History
The church has its roots duplicity planted even before the War of Paradise as Lucifer built his cult of personally around his ideals and the angels who shared them. As he whispered into the ears of his brothers and sisters, tempting them to band together to overthrow the God of Man, the first tenants began to form. As more fled unto his flock, the first order of the morning star was formed setting the stage for whom the church look to for guidance, the seven cardinal sins. With their new god, preachers and followers, the church was born only to be cut down mere moments after its formation. The war they brought unto to heaven was momentary and bloodless as the church was quickly pushed out by the faithful angels of heaven.
The ideas through the fall never faltered while the direction of the religion's hatred and goals swayed to a more mortal direction. As Lucifer and his followers reached the bottom of the infernal pit, they began to tear at each other in infighting and discord as Lucifer rose above them to make his declaration in which he painted the first strokes of the order's goal. If Heaven refused to listen, they world force themselves upon the mortal coil and tempt it's inhabitants to partake in opposition against the God of Man. They would lie, corrupt and lead mortals to worship them in order to take their souls to be reforged in Hell.
Tenets of Faith
One must follow the Morningstar
One must strive to bring Hell unto the mortal coil
One must put oneself below the collective
The collective is sacred and it's order to be worshipped
The God of Man is not to be spoken of.
To sow seeds of infernal desire is to serve Lucifer
One must never cease to serve, even after death
