Session 3.10

The party arrived in the city of Uhlmar looking to expand their diplomatic reach as well as looking to retrieve their friends and family of Peche. It was a rather quiet arrival without much fanfare; however, the party soon found that they have walked themselves into another contentious political climate with Chieftain Igmut at the center of everything. After a day of information gathering, the group found that there are four different factions at play within the city:   1. Stoneblood Council – A conservative, traditional and one of the oldest orc clans in Uhlmar.   2. Emberborn Kin – A progressive clan of artisans and craftsmen   3. Bloodtide Brotherhood – A free spirited, maritime based clan,   4. The Ashen Circle – A culture based, spiritual heart of the orcs.   Each faction has their own reasons for either wanting to dispose of or keeping Chieftain Igmut in power. The following morning, the party was given a formal invitation for a gathering later that night where all of the factions would be present. The invitation also came with a warning that this event is a test of the party’s initial loyalties. During the gathering, through chance encounters, each member of the group interacted with members of each faction and as a result either garnered favor or ire.   1. Caspian – had broken up an argument that was quickly escalating between a Stoneblood Council warrior and an Emberborn Kin Scholar   2. Fannti – Was taken to a Bloodtide Brotherhood warehouse in the Dreadport District where he was informed their businesses as well as the economy of the city was thriving thanks to the Chieftain.   3. Soren – Was approached by a factionless orc who offered secrets on all the faction leaders to do whatever you wanted to with it.   4. Zhorn – Was able to forge an iron ingot with a craftsman from the Emberborn Kin. At the conclusion of the night, the party managed to gain a private audience with both the Emberborn Kin and the Bloodtide Brotherhood.
