God Veil Created and Gold War Ended

The year that the God Veil was created by Nirvane, separating gods, regions, and cultures.

In order to stop the Goliaths, gigantic golems hellbent on taking over the world in the name of a power-mad lich, a multinational society known as the White Bone cast a spell to destroy the psionic control the lich had over the Goliaths. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the spell went awry and it ended up erasing the memories of the world, leaving only chaos. It also altered the gods' memories, separating them from one another according to the region that they felt most akin to, and making it impossible for them to remember others outside of the area they lived in.   There were many other effects as well.
