Mistwalkers
The mistwalkers are a private group of Trass worshipers that use divination and scrying to gather information about the world around them. Temples owned by the mistwalkers are not open to the public, and only the most holy members of the order know what lies in the deepest reaches of their underground repository of knowledge. They run daily services to Trass, and ask her frequently for guidance and hidden knowledge, which she often gives in the form of visions. Several temples exist in Cirris, all of them close to the coast in specific areas to assist in maintaining the leyline system that shrouds the country in fog. In an added level of secrecy, every mistwalker is trained in the art of speaking Arhiin to convey secret messages.
Structure
Led by a pontiff, who ensures that all knowledge is kept secure. Below him is the High Soothsayer, who leads the rest of the mistwalkers as to what information to seek out. Then there are the Soothsayers, which operate under the Pontiff and High Soothsayer, but above the Blind, and work to divine new secrets from the rest of the world. The Blind are have no scrying ability but are still useful as scribes and servants to those higher in the order. Though the Blind have the least glamorous job, most Soothsayers know that they are needed to keep the temples operational and thus treat them with respect.
Public Agenda
Worship Trass, quietly yet noticeably. Collect as much knowledge as possible.
Assets
The largest library in Arheim, and maybe all of Smiltis. They also have ledgers full of blackmail material and close secrets in case they are threatened by a political entity. They decide when to notify the Witch Hunt about illicit activities.
