Vampir
Vampirs are blood drinking monsters that retain their human shape and intelligence. Created through the use of powerful Hexenwerk, vampirs are among the most dangerous of the Horrors of Eisen. They are stronger and faster than ordinary humans, but lose much of their empathy and humanity along with their transformation.
There is some debate about whether the creatures are the same beings that they were before their transformation. No definitive answer has ever been found for this.

Anatomy
Appear to be human in every way, though with paler skin.
Genetics and Reproduction
Can only be created through Hexenwerk rituals.
Ecology and Habitats
Tend to live in small communities where they can feed on local populations without drawing the ire of Die Kreuzritter agents. Careful vampirs are capable of living undetected among the ordinary human population.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Vampirs need to consume a large amount of blood monthly to maintain their existence. There are a variety of ways that this blood may be used to sustain them, and not all of them are known to even the most experienced monster hunters.
