Turalance Kingdom

Turalance Kingdom is one of the most renowned nations in the world, celebrated for its mastery of magical technology and groundbreaking research in all fields of arcane study. It is the destination of choice for anyone seeking true mastery over magic, earning it the title “The Wizard Kingdom.”

The kingdom was originally founded by a group of powerful wizards who established a school devoted to the pursuit of magical knowledge. Over time, that school grew into a thriving city and eventually, into the grand kingdom known today as Turalance.

Structure

School set up

Basic education in Turalance focuses on teaching children the fundamentals of magic and essential academics such as language, mathematics, history, and science. Every citizen receives this early training to ensure they understand the basic principles of mana, energy flow, and magical safety.   Students from other kingdoms are generally not accepted until they reach their teenage years or older, at which point they may enroll in the Turalance Academe to pursue specialized studies. At this stage, students choose a focus or discipline and begin their deeper training in the arcane arts.   All magical study within the Academe is organized around the Eight Primal Elements, forming the foundation of nearly every magical field. From there, students can branch into advanced courses and specialized programs in numerous subjects ranging from magical physics and crystalline energy studies to alchemy, medicine, and rune engineering.   Most young mages begin with the element that resonates most strongly with their innate affinity, then gradually branch out into related schools of magic or other elementals types. No matter which curriculum you pick or focus on you'll be studying a wide range of stuff that's encompassed in one of the 17 prime curriculums. For example:   A student of the School of Restoration studies anatomy, biology, and the magical interaction between species and body systems.   A specialist in Earth magic learns about minerals, flora, and the physical composition of landscapes, while also studying elemental transmutation and stability spells.   The curriculum encourages exploration students are free to expand beyond their element or discipline as they mature. As their skills progress, many are selected for advanced apprenticeships, research projects, or even field assignments assisting the kingdom at large.   In Turalance , education never truly ends. The more one learns, the more doors open to research, service, and mastery.

Religion

While Turalance is renowned for its arcane advancements, faith still holds a quiet but significant place within the kingdom. The dominant faith is known as the The Followers of the Sacred Divine 8, which venerates the eight gods and goddesses said to embody the primal forces of creation.   Unlike other realms, Turalance approaches religion through a scholarly lens. Many mages study divine magic not only to worship but also to analyze, replicate, or reinterpret the blessings and miracles granted by the deities. This has led to ongoing philosophical and theological debates throughout the kingdom is it blasphemy to reproduce a divine spell through arcane means, or is it a form of enlightenment, understanding the gods through study rather than faith?   Despite these disputes, belief in the gods remains strong. Temples and shrines still flourish beside laboratories and academies, their followers ranging from humble worshippers to inquisitive magisters who seek to understand the divine through logic and magic alike.

Foreign Relations

Turalance maintains numerous diplomatic agreements with the other kingdoms of Raygon, as well as with several foreign nations beyond its borders. Trade and collaboration in magical technology, research, and invention are common, though the kingdom is careful not to share too many of its arcane secrets.   While protective of its knowledge, Turalance believes in fostering cooperation and understanding among its allies. One of its most notable international efforts is the Learner’s Registry a formal exchange program that allows promising scholars and mages from other realms to study at the prestigious Turalance Academy.   As a result, a significant portion of the Academy’s student body hails from abroad, making the capital a hub of multicultural exchange, innovation, and diplomacy. Through education, Turalance quietly strengthens its influence across the continent training not only its own future leaders, but also those of foreign lands.

Their presence represents both order and security across the realm.

Specialized Units within the Arcane Wardens

Runebreakers Experts in curse breaking and artifact containment, the Runebreakers are called upon when enchanted objects malfunction, are tampered with, or curse their users. Their focus lies in unraveling the magic’s design, deciphering its purpose, and safely releasing victims from harmful enchantments.   Veil Sentinels Investigators and covert agents, the Veil Sentinels specialize in illusion and perception magic. They are renowned for their work on complex cases and large scale conspiracies, often operating undercover to expose hidden crimes. The Null Division excels in defensive and counter spell combat, prioritizing civilian safety and area containment over brute force. They are the first responders when powerful magic threatens public order or when dangerous organizations rise against the crown.

Education

As the advancement of arcane scholarship becouse of Turalance Academe, Turalance is considered one of the most educated and academically advanced kingdom in the known world. Founded by wizards who valued knowledge above all, its entire society is structured around the pursuit of learning.   What began as pure magical education has since expanded into a vast network of disciplines. The people of Turalance believe that everything in life is touched by magic from medicine and engineering to art, agriculture, and communication. As a result, universities and guild schools offer advanced courses not only in spellcraft and elemental theory but also in magical chemistry, rune architecture, enchantment design, and even arcane psychology.

Legislative Body
At the head of Turalance ’s government stands the Wizard King or Queen a ruler elected by the Ace Maygus and the Overseers. This position is granted only to one who has proven themselves to be an exceptional wizard and a capable leader. While their arcane expertise remains invaluable, much of their time is dedicated to governance, diplomacy, and managing the intricate politics of the magical world.   Overseers govern specific cities or regions within the kingdom. Each territory in Turalance is built around a major magical discipline, theory, or elemental focus, so its Overseer must possess full mastery of that field. Their role functions much like that of a mayor or noble, but their position is earned through knowledge and examination, not inherited. When multiple candidates qualify, an election among peers determines who will hold the title.   Ace Maygus 17 in total serve as both the rulers of the capital and the headmasters of the Turalance Academy. Each Ace Maygus oversees one of the eight primary elements of magic, shaping the curriculum, staffing, and research related to their domain. To become an Ace, a candidate must pass an exceptionally difficult test designed around their chosen element. Together, the Aces Maygus act as the kingdom’s council of wisdom and power, advising the monarch and maintaining balance within the realm.
