How The Universe Came To Be

In the beginning, there were eight Divine Beings, each made up of pure energy. You have Hikari god of Light, Yami Goddess of Darkness, Kasai God of Fire, Mizu Goddess of Water, Chikyu Goddess of Earth, Kaze God of Air, Seishin Goddess of Spirit, and Maindo God of Will. For various reasons, they began to create and shape their own realms, transforming them into places they might call home. Each deity created their realm according to their nature, filled it with distinct landscapes, creatures, and life forms. For a time, everything was peaceful—each realm existed independently, each with its own beauty and nothing ever changed.

This altered with what became known as The Bridging.

An mysterious area, later known as Purgatory, connected their universes. Little is known about when the gods and goddesses initially met, although remnants of their first interactions can be traced in ancient revelations. Some deities sought fellowship in one another, while others stayed separated. Over time, they learnt to cohabit, developing within Purgatory and, in some cases, collaborating to create new wonders. However, most deities remained focused on their respective domains, leaving Purgatory largely undeveloped.

This persisted until The Connection, when the Metaphysical Realm opened and connected the Divine and Physical Realms. The gods were fascinated by this odd new dimension. The Metaphysical Realm, which was nothing more than pure energy, had little interest for them, but it served as a portal to the Physical Realm, which was unlike anything they had ever seen. Here, time passed, matter existed, and cosmic laws governed reality. Something about it piqued their interest, and they began experimenting with its principles, making planets, stars, and celestial bodies.

They even sought to generate life, and many of them enjoyed watching the new entities grow and evolve. However, their trials did not always proceed as expected.

One such occurrence occurred when Kasia, became irritated with a planet that did not turn out as he had hoped. In his wrath, he threw it through the darkness of space, unintentionally falling into Hikari's meticulously constructed planet of crystals. Rather than destroying their creations, the impact united them, resulting in new and distinct species and settings. This revelation prompted the deities to work together more regularly, honing their skill and devising new methods to mold life. Because of this the deities and their realms started growing and changing little bit by little bit.

Recognizing the possibility for such collaboration, Mondo suggested a bold concept: a world in which all eight gods might create together, combining their talents and ideas. Elema, a world abounding with different flora, creatures, and ecosystems, was created as a masterpiece through the deities' combined work and grace.

But Elema was not like their previous creations. This time, the gods gave some beings souls and free choice, letting them to choose their own fates and which god, if any, to worship. As the world expanded and civilizations emerged, it became too difficult for the deities to actively supervise and completely understand their followers. To address this, they established Avatars, mortal forms who could communicate with and guide their believers.

Initially, this system functioned well. The Avatars gained adherents, and the gods and Goddess' influence grew. However, as their strength expanded, something unexpected happened: each deity's essence fractured, resulting in a second, separate creature, an extension of themselves with independent thought and aspiration. These new entities established their own Lesser Divine Realms, disrupting the original balance of power. They are Analla Goddess of Destrution, Douglas the God of Taint, Bardo God of Survival, Iraja Goddess of Breeze, Priscilla Goddess of Crazy, Egon God of the Pride,Zia Goddess of Trick, Noir God of Shadow

Some gods embraced the transformation, viewing their counterparts as comrades or extensions of their will. Others disliked the divide and sought to reintegrate their other halves or wage battle to subjugate them. Some employed their new counterparts to manage the flow of souls, determining which ones deserved ascension and which were rejected as unworthy.

For a while, this uneasy balance held. However, the Lesser Deities soon desired more, forming their own identities, aspirations, and goals. A vast schism emerged, resulting in The Divine War, in which all sixteen deities—both the original eight and their fractured halves—fought for dominion.

Much of this fight is lost to history, but the Original Eight emerged victorious. They built a great The Followers of the Sacred Divine 8 to enforce their reign and solidify their status as the true deities of Elema. The defeated deities were cast down, labeled as villains, and imprisoned within their shattered realms, their power significantly reduced.

However, the effects of that struggle may still be seen today. Some mutter the names of the lost gods, discussing whether they were truly villains or were wrongfully exiled. Despite being diminished, their influence has not vanished—small groups of followers continue to worship them, and their presence stirs once more.

Their voices resound through Elema's darkness. Forgotten temples arise, secret cults form, and lost gods reawaken in the world's dark corners. But the Sacred Eight stay vigilant, protecting our souls and bestowing divine favors. If the fallen deities return, or a greater evil rises, our deities will be our first and last line of defense.

Historical Basis

This history has been fragmented and modified over time, depending on where the knowledge came from and how it was presented. Even religious scriptures and searches for truth frequently distort the perception of what actually occurred. Deities rarely tell mortals the entire narrative; they just reveal what they deem is necessary.
