Noir God of Shadow

Noir, God of Shadow, is one of the newer deities— is a figure of shifting shapes and whispered desires. He is the god of illusions, greed, and the unseen hand that moves the world. Mystery clings to him like a second skin, for he covets all that lies within shadow’s reach—including the light itself.

To Noir, possession is power. He teaches that the world belongs not to the strongest, but to the cleverest—the ones who take, deceive, and outmaneuver. “If you want it, take it. Outthink your rivals. Keep your cards hidden.” His is a creed of ambition, where those who hesitate are already lost.

His followers revel in the freedom he offers. Unlike other gods who demand restraint or virtue, Noir promises only one truth: the world is yours, if you dare to claim it. Thieves, schemers, and shadow-brokers walk in his name, taking what they desire and weaving lies like fine silk. Yet Noir is no patron of the weak—his blessings come with a price, for all things in shadow belong to him first.

He whispers from unseen places:
"The shadows are everywhere, and yet they are nowhere. Are you ready to become one with them—to take all that should be yours?"

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Devouring Shadow

Noir's symbol is a black, ever-shifting shadow devouring something—an apple, a coin, a flame, or perhaps an entire fruit basket. The item changes based on where the sign appears, while the shadow remains constant. It always devours. Always takes. It is a symbol of hunger and possession. Whatever the shadow touches is claimed, owned, and consumed completely. Noir claims ownership of everything beneath his shadow.

The Hidden Blade

Noir's chosen weapon is the hidden blade, which is used by thieves, assassins, and others who strike with precision and silence. It is intended for mastery in the dark rather than open warfare. Those who pursue Noir frequently learn to use it with expertise and grace, concealing their intentions until the right moment. It is the weapon of those who take rather than ask, those who demand rather than earn. To tread Noir's road is to realize that nothing is actually given; everything must be grasped.

Tenets of Faith

Noir values followers for their usefulness rather than their faith. He sees them as assets—extensions of his will, designed to act, seize, and conquer. Noir is the deity of acquisition, taking what is not given, and mastering shadows in order to capture the universe.

He teaches that nothing is truly free—it must be acquired, taken, or claimed through force, cleverness, or stealth. Power, wealth, influence, and secrets are not gifts to be given, but treasures to be stolen.

Darkness is his talent. It conceals you, protects you, and offers you tools to manipulate and claim. His shadows will cover your route as long as you tread it with purpose and determination.

Noir presents the world to his followers as a task rather than a generous offer. Take all you want. Break promises, break regulations, and make bargains that solely benefit you. Just remember to pay your dues to your Lord. Everything you steal is in his name.

So go into the shadows and steal the world for yourself. It wasn't theirs to begin with.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Noir craves everything—everyone, every object, every emotion, and every ounce of power that exists on all realms, planets, and cosmic levels. His ambition has no boundaries. Anything that falls inside his shadow belongs to him, whether it realizes it or not.

His ultimate purpose is to extend his darkness over all of creation, gradually covering every nook of existence in shadow until nothing is left unaffected. Everything—material, metaphysical, and divine—will be claimed, consumed, and controlled.

Noir does not ask for allegiance; he expects submission. The world is his to take, and he will not rest until all is silent beneath his perpetual gloom.
