Overview
Perched on a piece of land surround on most sides by water, with a small land bridge connecting it to the main land mass. The Tall Cliffs serve as a natural defense against naval invasion. there is a massive driy dock that accomodates the vumidian navy, arguably the most powerful navy in the world.Demographics
The City is 70% human with the remaining 30% divided amongst the less common races of Nathria
Government
The seat of power is the [cool castle name] that houses the center of the Vumidian government.
It is a monarchical system, with the king having most of the power, and distributing power and land to the various noble families.
Defences
There are only 2 entrances into the city. one is through a small land bridge that connects the city with the rest of the continent.
the second entrance is a largemouth of a cave accessible only by the water. this leads to a big cavern in which the people of llangarth built into a massive dry dock. when under attack the cave entrance can be blocked off with a gate and naval blockade. the surface city has many mortars and cannons placed strategically around the cliffs to fight off aggressive naval units.
Industry & Trade
this is a large city and the capital of the kingdom of vumid, as such the city is flush with vast amounts of wealth and trade. the dry dock is not only used by the military but also civilians and guild activity.
Infrastructure
The caverns beneath the city have been extensively built into to make a large undercity. the undercity houses almost half the city and there is a diverse range of things and people to be found down there. including a large drydock that is one of two main entrances into the city. there is also more than a few market places. many places to sell or buy things.
Assets
Llangarth is a vast city with pretty much any good you can think of. and some that you cant.
History
Not originally the capital of Vumid, Llangarth was found by explorers sometime after unification. there were elven ruins already here that they built into. the current city has outgrown the elven ruins, but a good chunk of the undercity was already there when the city was founded.
Tourism
the city houses the largest temple to the triad in the world, because of this there are a lot of pilgrims that travel to the city from all over the world to worship at this temple. the city also has a very diverse selection of food vendors and shops.
Architecture
the outer chunk of the city is standard brick and mortar, however, as you get to older parts of the city there is a bit more ancient elven architecture built into by the original settlers. the undercity is almost entirely
Geography
The city is perched on top of cliffs so tall that even the highest tide doesn't reach half way. there is a large cave entrance at the bottom of the cliffs that leads to a massive cavern under the city.
