Winter was the embodiment of winter magic. They affected the northern mountains of Astnyr from their presence alone, transforming the once lush forests into a snowy hellscape. This was the most magic had changed the environment during that time.  

Who Can Use Winter Magic?

Berserkers and Snow Paladins were the primary benefactors of winter magic. However, there were also those who used winter magic while ranching animals.  

Battle Magic

Berserkers and Snow Paladins used winter magic differently in battle. Berserkers' winter magic concentrated on offensive maneuvers while Snow Paladins focused on defense. This worked well when Strection's Justice Paladins would attack Frosthalla on frequent occasions.

Berserker's had three magical skills. These were summoning ice lances from the ground and air, attaching ice spikes to their axes, and freezing enemies. Summoned ice lances pierce through both armor and flesh. They were strong enough to hold someone in the air, impaled and blood running down the ice. Soon, enemies laid lifeless upon them. Ice spikes enhanced Berserker axes' strength, also pierced through armor. The deadly combo of metal and ice could freeze even their foe's organs, making them stop beating and flowing blood entirely on impact. Frozen enemies could be trapped inside the ice forever because it never melted. During present times, these "ice statues" served as warnings to Strection to never underestimate Frosthalla's unity.

Snow Paladins had two magic skills. These skills were called "Snow Wings" and "Icicle Chains". Snow Wings concentrated on their shields, making something akin to wings through snow flurries and ice. They flowed behind them and defended anyone within the wing's span of range. This made up with people behind them and besides. Icicle Chains bound enemies, making them slower. Foes could not swing their weapons or cast spells as fast as they normally would, making it a keen opportunity to attack.  

Ranchers

Preserving meat could be a hard challenge, even in mountains as cold as Frosthalla's. Once an animal was deemed old and ready for slaughter, there was the somewhat merciful way of seeping cold into the animal itself. This made sure the creature remained calm during their time of death and not damaging its meat quality. Preservation of meats was created by ice cubes around the meat. This made it look like meat was floating within the ice itself, but it stayed fresh even after the ice was melted by the Ranchers.
Light Paladins
Those who chose Winter as their God gained winter magic. Light Paladins of this discipline could bind enemies with ice and summon ice lances. It was a combination of Berserkers and Snow Paladins within them.
