Ralaq

Ralaq is both a shield and a gate: a critical harbor for Vaaskyr’s southern trade and the first line of defense against maritime threats.
Government
Ralaq is governed by Harbormaster Azael Thurn, a shrewd brass dragonborn whose command spans both civic administration and the local naval forces. A council of merchant guild leaders known as the Flamecircle serves as his advisory body, with the balance between coin and command shifting by season.
Defences
The Ralaqi Coastal Fleet is small but nimble, with a reputation for aggressive pursuit and flawless ambush coordination. Officers train at the Flamekeep Bastion, while the harbor maintains a drydock facility for rapid repairs and experimental vessel outfitting.
Industry & Trade
Ralaq and Salman, its sister city across the land, are the Vaaskyr Empire’s primary northern trade arteries. Spices, jungle fruits, enchanted obsidian, and rare fire-gems from the interior move out through Ralaq's port, while imports from Wescovia, Aethel, and Imenia arrive almost daily.
