Muzat
Muzat is a quaint, breezy port town nestled on a rocky island off Sulkara’s northwestern coast. Surrounded by shallow coral reefs and the calm waters of the Bay of Iroth, it serves as both a fishing capital and a spiritual retreat. Known for its stunning sunsets, melodic sea winds, and laid-back tempo, Muzat balances a humble livelihood with a rich sense of history and myth. The city's temple to Istishia, goddess of water, is one of the few in Sulkara and a sacred pilgrimage spot despite Sulkara's fire-dominant culture.
Government
Muzat is ruled by Harbormaster Javad Atlasi, who leads an advisory body of respected elders—mostly retired fishers, sailors, and pearl divers. Though technically under the Emir’s rule, the city is given wide autonomy in managing its affairs, especially given its remote location.
Society here is egalitarian and communal, with shared resources and a local festival nearly every week. Music and storytelling are revered, and nearly everyone plays at least one instrument. Some families have practiced wind-whistling—a musical magic tradition—for generations.

Defences
Muzat’s isolation is its best protection. Hidden reef paths, shallow waters, and unpredictable currents make naval invasion difficult. Locals are skilled at sea navigation and have small, fast boats outfitted for defense. A lighthouse called the Eye of Muzat warns the city of approaching threats.
Geography
The island is small and hilly, rising in terraces from the harbor. Narrow streets weave between sun-bleached stone houses, all facing the sea as though in prayer. Boats of all sizes bob in the turquoise shallows of the bay, protected by a reef that glows faintly at night. A massive banyan tree grows from the ruins of an old temple at the island’s center, its roots said to whisper to the faithful.
