Limneon
Set like a gem amidst the granite peaks, Limneon rests upon a serene lake fed by pure mountain springs. Known as the City of Still Waters, Limneon is both a place of healing and spiritual introspection. Its waters are said to hold minor divine properties, and pilgrims from across Imenia journey here seeking wellness of body, mind, and soul. The city is home to the renowned Sanctuary of the Divine Vessel, a temple-hospital complex dedicated to restoration, meditation, and the mysteries of inner balance.
Government
Limneon's Archon has been the same for many years now, uncommon among cities in Imenia. Called melas iatros locally, meaning great healer, the Archon of Limneon is believed to hold a divine healing power. Though nominally subservient to national laws of the Republic, Limneon operates with great autonomy, given the unique spiritual and cultural role it plays in Imenian life. Political decisions are slow and considered, and sudden change is frowned upon, except where health or balance is threatened.

Architecture
Built along elegant causeways and upon floating platforms, Limneon’s buildings are low, sweeping structures of pale stone, blue tile, and polished wood. Walkways span the lake’s surface, often lined with reeds, lotuses, and softly glowing lanterns. The central islet houses the Sanctuary, while small ferries and quiet canals connect the outer quarters nestled along the wooded lakeshore and terraced cliffs.
No chariots or heavy carts are allowed within the inner city, movement is gentle, deliberate, and often accompanied by prayer or ritual.
