Boldar
Boldar rises proudly from the jagged rocks of the kingdom’s northern mountains, a marvel of dwarven ingenuity blended with natural terrain. While most dwarven capitals are carved into mountain halls or subterranean depths, Boldar sprawls across the surface, its terraced neighborhoods and dome-topped halls gleaming in the sun. Stone towers etched with runes rise like bastions of heritage, and wide thoroughfares paved in veined marble lead to the majestic Jadehold Keep, home of High King Hazemi Jadeheart and his court.
The city is deeply rooted in tradition but embraces a rare dwarven openness to trade, diplomacy, and art. Though proud and reserved, the people of Boldar welcome foreigners who come in peace, provided they respect local customs.

Government
The city is technically ruled directly by High King Hazemi Jadeheart, who holds court in the Jadehold Keep, but he delegates the day-to-day governance to the Jade Steward. Each district of the city has a Warden, appointed by the Assembly, who acts as the liaison between the people and the crown.
Law is enforced by the Jade Guard, elite dwarf warriors and investigators known for their sharp axes and sharper instincts.

Defences
Boldar is heavily fortified. The Jade Guard serves as both city watch and royal guard, and there are barracks for the Hillwardens, the standing army that patrols the surrounding territories. Watchtowers dot the outer districts, and every citizen receives basic martial training.
Industry & Trade
Boldar’s economy is built on the export of fine crafts, especially armor, weapons, stonework, and intricate gemcutting. The city also profits from rare minerals and metals found in the nearby hills, and its location near key trade routes makes it a hub for commerce between eastern and western Iroth.
