Gnome Domain

Clerics of the Gnome Domain channel the capricious charm and illusion-craft of the gnomish people, walking a winding path between trickery, enchantment, and benevolent mischief. This domain is granted by gods who favor cunning over cruelty, cleverness over domination, and who find more joy in inspiring laughter than in issuing commands. Clerics of this domain are masters of illusion, subtle creation, and trickery—but theirs is no malicious power. Their spells and blessings are often delightful, surreal, and unpredictable in execution, echoing the spirit of the fey who often ally with gnomekind.   Deities who grant this domain are usually tied to feywilds, illusions, or protective trickery. Some are nature spirits that favor the gnome peoples for their kinship with the woods and their talent for laughter. Others are clever trickster gods who recognize in the gnomes an irreverent genius for reshaping reality with charm and wit. Gnome Domain clerics might act as illusionist-priests, celebrants of joyful mystery, or even guardians who disorient and confound the enemies of the natural world.

Gnome Trickery

1st-Level Cleric (Gnome Domain) Feature   You learn the Minor Acceleration cantrip, which does not count against your number of cleric cantrips known. When you cast an illusion spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose one of the following enhancements:
  • The illusion becomes subtly animated, such as a flickering torch, a fluttering banner, or a slowly shifting shadow.
  • The illusion is accompanied by a faint, appropriate scent (e.g., flowers for a garden illusion, sulfur for a fiery pit).
You also gain proficiency in your choice of Deception or Nature.

Channel Divinity: Gnori’s Veil

2nd-Level Cleric (Gnome Domain) Feature   You can use your Channel Divinity to wrap yourself or an ally in a shimmering veil of illusion.   As an action, choose one creature within 30 feet of you. That creature becomes lightly obscured by a fey glamor for 1 minute, gaining the following effects:
  • It is invisible to creatures more than 30 feet away.
  • It has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
  • Creatures within 30 feet of it have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect it unless they can see through illusions.
The effect ends early if the target makes an attack or casts a spell.

Bend Reality

6th-Level Cleric (Gnome Domain) Feature   Your illusions gain tangible presence.   When a creature fails a saving throw against one of your illusion spells, you may cause it to take psychic damage equal to your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier.

Potent Spellcasting

You add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip you cast.

Fey Master of the Glade

17th-Level Cleric (Gnome Domain) Feature   You become a beacon of fey magic and illusion.
  • You can maintain one illusion spell without requiring concentration. This must be a spell of 5th level or lower.
  • You are under a permanent Nondetection effect.
  • Once per long rest, you can cast Mirage Arcane without expending a spell slot.
