Emotion Domain

The Emotion Domain is granted by deities who govern passion, madness, serenity, fear, or love. Clerics of these gods manipulate the hearts and minds of others, channeling divine energy through raw feeling. Some soothe rage and sorrow; others stoke it into fury. Their powers can calm a riot or drive a peaceful village into hysteria.

Empathic Resilience

1st-Level Cleric (Emotion Domain) Feature   Your connection to the realm of feelings grants you a keen resistance to intrusive thoughts and influence. You gain advantage on saving throws against being Charmed or Frightened.   In addition, when you cast a Mind-Affecting spell that targets only one creature and forces a Wisdom saving throw, you can choose to have that creature make the saving throw at disadvantage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum once), regaining all uses after a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Emotional Surge

2nd-Level Cleric (Emotion Domain) Feature   You can channel divine emotion into overwhelming intensity. As an action, choose a number of creatures up to your Wisdom modifier within 30 feet of you that can hear or see you. Choose one of the following emotional effects:
  • Inspire: Targets gain temporary hit points equal to your cleric level + Wisdom modifier and are immune to being Frightened for 1 minute.
  • Unsettle: Targets must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of your next turn.

Empathic Feedback

6th-Level Cleric (Emotion Domain) Feature   When a creature within 30 feet of you fails a saving throw against becoming Charmed or Frightened, you can use your reaction to deal psychic damage to it equal to your cleric level. If the effect came from your spell, the target has disadvantage on the first saving throw it makes to end the condition.

Potent Spellcasting

8th-Level Cleric (Emotion Domain) Feature   You add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip you cast.

Overwhelming Emotion

17th-Level Cleric (Emotion Domain) Feature   Your magic can fully override the emotional state of others. When you cast a spell that causes the Charmed or Frightened condition, you can choose to affect creatures that are normally immune to those conditions. Those creatures instead have advantage on the initial saving throw.   Additionally, once per long rest, when a creature fails a saving throw against one of your Enchantment or Illusion spells, you can choose for the effect to last without concentration for up to 1 minute. You must still be conscious for the effect to persist.
