Aspect of the Medusa

5th Edition
You call upon the dread blessing of the medusae, wreathing one willing creature you touch in serpentine menace and granting the following benefits for the duration:
  • The target gains a +1 bonus to AC.
  • The target gains a special natural weapon as his or her hair begins to writhe like snakes. As a Bonus Action, the target can cause his or her hair to animate into a snake, lashing out at a target within 5 feet. On a hit, this snake-hair deals Poison damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting modifier and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your Spell Save DC, being Poisoned until the end of the target's next turn on a failure.
Special: Estaklian Humans, as well as other peoples from Estaklyos ignore the Rare tag of this spell for the purpose of learning it. Your DM has final say on if you qualify for this.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, the poison damage increases by 1d8 for every two slot levels above its base level.
