Aetheron Conglomerate
Structure
The Conglomerate operates as a federated arcano-political alliance of city-states, with each major city electing a Skydelegate to the High Council. Aetherspire serves as both symbolic capital and policy center, while Shimmerhollow controls arcane enforcement through the Temporal Conclave.
Culture
Aetherari culture emphasizes balance between intellect, innovation, and resonance with the Loom. They prize magical excellence, arcane artistry, and memory preservation, but also view adaptability and emotional intelligence as critical virtues. Public song-weaves and airborne storytelling remain central traditions.
Public Agenda
The Conglomerate seeks to expand safe and ethical access to Loom-based technologies, stabilize magical dead zones, and defend their floating settlements from unraveling phenomena and rival factions.
Assets
Key assets include the Chronoglass Forges of Shimmerhollow, the Vault of Celestial Design in Nimbusport, and fleets of veil-powered skyships. Their most valuable and controversial asset is the Tirani Core Network, used to anchor transport, defense, and emerging constructs.
History
Formed in the aftermath of the Sundering, Aetheron’s major cities joined forces during a period of magical instability. The Siege of Aetherspire in 153 DV was a turning point, as the hero Caelum, the Skyborne Sage, sacrificed himself to repel a renegade cabal. Since then, the Conglomerate has grown into a leader in magical theory, thread-tech, and arcane infrastructure.
Demography and Population
Aetheron is home to approximately 1.5 million inhabitants. Roughly one-third reside in major cities, with the rest spread across minor settlements and floating enclaves. The population is diverse, with humans, elves, genasi, Loomshorn, and a growing number of Tirani Constructs.
Territories
The Conglomerate’s lands span high-altitude mountain chains and dozens of levitating island masses connected through airship lanes and spatial threadgates. Certain “drifting provinces” move seasonally based on Loom fluctuations.
Military
The military arm includes Loopcasters, Skyward Sentinels, and the Veilborne Array—units capable of controlling time bursts, manipulating battlefield threadflows, and deploying spelltech skyships. Defense focuses on border storms, thread ruptures, and construct containment.
Technological Level
The Conglomerate represents the pinnacle of arcano-technological advancement in Elaris. With the invention of the Tirani Core, synchronization of Temporal Threads, and near-complete integration of thread-magic into public infrastructure, Aetheron is poised to lead the world—if its ambition doesn’t unravel it first.
Religion
Most citizens honor the Veilbound Pantheon, especially Velexia and Solara, while technomancers whisper thanks to Caelum the Skyborne Sage as a spiritual hero. Worship of Kavessra is outlawed but has surfaced among some disillusioned Loomwrights.
Foreign Relations
Aetheron is allied with Solaris and Selendral, bonded through magical trade and scholarly exchange. Relations with Umbrenor are tense, with accusations of arcane intrusion. Drakora distrusts Aetheron’s artificial manipulation of balance, and minor skirmishes have broken out in disputed sky-territories.
Laws
Aetheron operates under the Codex of Skybound Law, which includes strict magical ethics clauses, especially concerning thread experiments and Loom alteration. Public use of Tirani Cores requires licensing.
Agriculture & Industry
Terraced skyfarms grow high-aether crops like threadfruit and shimmergrain. Crystal mining and chronoweave production are major industries. Some cities employ conjured weather to irrigate otherwise unviable land.
Trade & Transport
Aetheron maintains the largest magical skyfleet in Elaris, supported by teleportation nodes powered by stabilized Tirani Cores. Trade routes crisscross to Solaris and Selendral, bringing enchanted goods and magical consulting.
Education
Education is mandatory in all major cities, with Loomwright Academies offering formal instruction in thread theory, magical ethics, and applied arcanology. Initiates must pass the Resonance Trials to gain access to experimental research zones.
Infrastructure
Aetheron cities feature hovering walkways, thread-fused bridges, and entire districts powered by ambient spellfields. Shimmerhollow remains the testing ground for time-layered architecture and reality-stabilizing structures.
From the Loom to the Lightning, All Wisdom Rises.
Founding Date
Officially established in 21 DV, following the Fracture Cascade and the first unified council held in Aetherspire.
