History
Honey held a sacred place in Mexica and broader Mesoamerican culture, often tied to moon deities and rituals of fertility and renewal. The moon goddess Mētzli was believed to watch over cycles of growth, making honey — a gift of bees and flowers — a fitting offering to her. By blending honey with the smoky essence of fire, Mētzli Miel pays homage to this duality: sweetness under the moon and warmth from the hearth.
