Giant's Thumb
Among the slight rolling of the Golden Fields region, stands a tall dark stone formation that is visible from anywhere east of the mesa. It resembles the shape of a closed fist with the thumb sticking up, hence it's name.
Very recently -- about 3 years ago (180 AP) -- spelunkers found an unknown cave branch in Giant's Thumb that contained previously unknown ore deposits. This began an "ore rush" bolstering the former farming village of Gitte into a booming small town. As is usual in the Dom, the Crown Council owns the land, while a mining company manages the workers.
