Everspire

Once the centerpoint of Takish Hiz, the Everspire is a magic tower that rises out of the Oasis of Brell and high into the sky. It is home to the arch magus Vasaramas, once the court magician of the Elddar Dal. As the civilization crumbled, he turned to an experimental ritual in an attempt to save his people. The ritual succeeded but only in part: the elves of Takish Hiz were preserved but as mindless elementals. To this day, he continues his research in hopes of returning these preserved countrymen to life and undoing the Curse of Innoruuk. Those who swim to the bottom of the oasis can enter the tower and fight their way up through its elemental residents. This is a dungeon for levels 30-70.   The first level is flooded forcing interlopers to fight their way past aquatic threats until they manage to swim up to the surface.   Vertical travel in the spire is done using the mystic column of light that extends upwards from the center of the first floor. Upon entering the column, players must speak the name of the floor they wish to travel to. An Elddar book called Illusantrura Menarias included a description of the spire and the names of its floors. Unfortunately, the book has been lost. A combine translation exists in the library of Katta Ptoliethron; however, the floor names were all translated into Combine, and to use the lifts one must speak the names in Elddar'Dal. Some floors require both the name and a key.
