Barren Coast

The Barren Coast is a long, desert peninsula that comprises the north Western part of Odus. In the Elddar Age, the peninsula was covered by a tropical rainforest known as the Emeral Jungle. The Sul'Dal elves of Ahket Aken erected their cities in this forest and tended to it until the Curse of Innoruuk burned it away. The memory of the forest remains preserved by the spirits of the Weeping Jungle in the Underfoot below.   The Fyr'Un River flows down from the Stonebrunt Mountains into the Sea of Laahr. The city of Leeniap is located at its mouth.   The south eastern part of the zone is home to the Anaz Mal jackal-headed gnolls from Anaz Kwanu and occasional kobolds from the Warrens. The southwestern desert is known as the Silt Flats, a plain covered in silty ponds and inhabited by the Aliiz Raef Ew lizardfolk who swim through the silt like water. Mummies and other undead wander the northern and eastern zone, coming from the Ruins of Ahket Aken, located on the Fyr'Un River's northern bank where it turns westwards on its way to the Laahr Sea. The northern zone is arid and home to the Twin Tears. Two small oases that add some greenery to the desert.
