The conflict that shattered the world.
The known events that took place in Eidos.
The Orcs migrate to Eidos in a great Exodus, and setup in lands they call Xnarul, on the ruins of a Yuan-ti Pureblood Empire decimated by the Rune War. Some of the Orcish clans attempt to assimilate into the still-rebuilding Eidos, whilst others become notorious pillagers. Either way, Orcish territory becomes seldom travelled, except by all but the most daring of archaeologists.
The second Exalted March begins, where Spell-Breakers start massive campaigns across Eidos to hunt down the remaining magic wielders and later the Staldori reavers. Divine Justinia II presides over numerous conflicts with the disparate Staldor tribes and later witnesses their unification into one nation - leading to the Summit at Vallerfjord and a tense peace.
During a hunt, Queen Madrigal of Staldor is found deep within a forest with four steel swords plunged into her chest (the work suspected to have been done by the mysterious Chantry assassins, The Silent Sisters.). Because of this, Divine Theodosia I declares the next Age the Steel Age.
A party of adventurers - Cotter Ravenstark, Gormosh Axerunner, Vlad, and Palasar Trexus - hunt the trail of a supposed Lich from Zarvoss whose phylactery is beginning to take physical form. His eventual defeat raises more questions than answers, and ushers in a new period of uncertainty about what lies North, in the frozen wastes of Kourath...
Divine Naoma I foresees a terrible confrontation with a powerful warlock which threatens to tear time itself asunder. As a result of her vision being clouded following this event, she names this period The Timeless Age, believing it to truly end in the destruction of Eidos, and of all history. 495- Naoma I dies of old age, satisfied that the world did not come to an end, and the new Divine is named - Sybilia I.
Following tales of a rogue warlock possessing immense power near Hekler, four adventurers - Grimmsby Shaw, Tygrim, Elani, and Earwyn - band together and face the Warlock, the brother of Grimmsby, and take from him the prophesied artefact that could have destroyed time. The four become myth, as to protect the entire world, the incident is mostly kept secret, and the artefact is locked away by the Spellbreakers forever.
A mere five years after becoming the Divine, Sybilia I orders the college to finalise its plans for an expedition to Kourath, chasing rumours of the Lich of over a century ago having supposedly originated from the frozen lands. The events that would follow on the icy continent mark the name of the age.
The College, having finally readied itself for the journey north, gathers volunteers and other forces from across Eidos to begin an expedition into the frozen heart of the unknown...
