Grandmaster Berleus
Berleus is a charismatic Earth Genasi and a Knight of Vain Winds, a paladin in service to Yan-C-Bin the Prince of Evil Air. He is the leader of the Feathergale Knights, a cult to the Prince of Evil Air and which fronts as a knightly society of monster hunters.

Berleus was once a paladin, who had sworn an oath to Sylvanus to defend and preserve harmony in nature.
The assault on the Dessarin Valley
Along with his travelling companions Malliken and Wodaz the druid he travelled along the the Dessarin Foothills. There they noticed increasing magical and elemental activities in the area and ultimately discovered a cult to the powers of Elemental Evil. The cult, led by four prophets, tried to evoke the powers of the Elder Eye and call the Princes of Elemental Evil into the Dessarin Valley and bring forth apocalyps. Berleus and his friends defeated the prophets and their cults by reclaiming the elemental artifacts and using them against the remaining cultists. One such an artifact was Windfane the spear of Yan-C-Bin, the Prince of Evil Air. After defeating the prophet of air Aerisi Kalinoth, Berleus wieled the weapon to defeat the others. The spear manipulated Berleus' mind, however, and the stoic knight began to have visions of grandeur and self-importance. Slowly the powers of Evil Air corrupted Berleus and shortly after sealing the last portal and avoiding the sundering of the Dessaring Valley, he left his allies along with Windvane. He returned to Feathergale Spire and reformed the remants of the followers of Yan-C-Bin into a new organisation under his leadership. As a knight to Yan-C-Bin he was released of the vows that held back his chance for selfrealisation and helps others in their search for great personal freedom and expression.Personality Characteristics

Berleus seeks a path to great personal glory and freedom from societal norms. Although he commands a decent force of knights and followers, he is ultimately only loyal to himself.
Relationships
History
Berleus and Wodaz used to be friends and co-adventurers. Together they saved the people of the Dessarin Foothills from certain doom by the hands of the cult of Elemental Evil. However, Berleus fell under the influence of Yan-C-Bin, the Prince of Evil Air and his noble heart was corrupted and grew cold. Now they are rivals, working against eachother's interests.
