Spooktober 2025: Amiss

I first wrote about the Council of Five for the very first community challenge I participated in here at World Anvil, which was ages and ages ago, but I had never written them into a story of any kind until The Blood of Seven Queens #5. And so, coming up a roster of five characters for this group was both a challenge but also an incredibly fun project.

Two of the characters have appeared before, one in the pages of Seven Queens and another in various worldbuilding articles I’ve published here on WA, but even they were fun to reimagine as part of a collective (or as part of a different collective than the group they’re most known for being a part of, in the case of Nish the dwarf).

A question for you: just by looking at this image, which of these folks seems like they might be the most likely to be up to no good? Which one do you look at and go, “there is something amiss behind those eyes?”
